We were pleased to welcome 12 members of Leeds Jewish Community to The Nicky yesterday where they met our members and enjoyed a fun day of activities.
The visit was organised by The Nicky’s Centre Manager, Karen Grant, in conjunction with Leeds Jewish Welfare Board. Community Support Worker, Michael Huxley, said: “Our reciprocal visits were always popular, and our group always looked forward to visiting our friends at The Nicky in Manchester. Sadly, Covid stopped these regular exchanges, so we are now delighted that we have reinstated them. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our service users who thoroughly enjoy the trip.”David Delew, The Nicky’s Chief Executive, responded: “We are always so pleased to welcome our friends from Leeds. It’s a great opportunity for our members to meet up and chat with the people from Leeds and we look forward to a return visit in the near future.”
Members of The Nicky and our guests from Leeds shared stories over lunch and afternoon tea and joined in the singing and dancing during our live entertainment. All of the guests raved about the fantastic lunch at The Nicky and said they looked forward to a return visit.
