The Nicky Social Club
Housed in a purpose built two-storey facility, The Nicky offers a range of activities designed to engage and entertain and provides a friendly and relaxing environment for our members to enjoy.

The activities help members remain active, promote their independence and well-being, and above all, enjoy themselves!

The activities vary from week to week and typically include:
The centre's facilities include:
A hot, kosher, three course lunch is served on the four days a week we are open, catered by one of Manchester’s leading kosher restaurants
The menu is varied with a vegetarian option and a fresh salad bar daily. The desserts are suitable for diabetics and fresh fruit salad is available every day.

The Nicky provides a transport service from North Manchester, Salford and Bury [up to Sunnybank]. A carer and driver work together to ensure the safety of the members at all times. Members are collected in the morning at a prearranged time, and are taken home in the afternoon. Our buses are specially adapted for disabled access, including tail lifts.

We mark key Jewish festivals including model seders, Purim feasts and megillah recitals, Channukah parties, Tu B’shvat tree planting ceremonies and Kiddush in the Succah. Members also celebrate significant birthdays and anniversaries at the Centre with families and friends.

The staff includes a team of qualified care workers and The Centre offers a holistic approach to the welfare of older people and our members with disabilities, working to prevent isolation and neglect.
The provision of this service enables carers and families to receive respite, with the full confidence that their ‘cared for’ is in a safe, nurturing environment.
